About the game
You lead a small band of heroes through a fantasy story that bends around your choices. Fights are turn-based on a grid, and between fights you move across a map and decide where the party goes next. Heroes age, form bonds and can be maimed or lost, and your favorites can return in later campaigns.
In co-op, each player customizes and controls their own heroes in the same campaign. By default any player can move any hero, and there are options to give each player exclusive control. On PC you play online, and the maker recommends up to five players. The console editions have no online mode and support up to four players on one console instead.
It feels like a roleplaying night, with plenty of planning and talking between turns. It suits groups that like choices and characters more than fast action.

- Working in sync: Says several players can plan at once while only one action happens at a time. Any player can control any hero by default, with options for exclusive control.
- Time to hang out: Says one player can plan a move while another plans an attack, which leaves room to talk between turns.
