About the game
You begin as a prisoner whose forbidden magic makes the ruling order fear you. Beyond the prison, you explore Rivellon, talk to people and animals, follow personal quests and decide who deserves your help. Battles use turns, height and surfaces that react to elemental skills. You build characters from different schools of abilities and keep improving their equipment as the campaign moves forward.
Up to four friends play online, while two can share a device in split screen on supported versions. The Switch version has online co-op but no local mode. Each player can control a character and make choices, so agreeing on pace matters. You can plan a fight together or follow conflicting goals. It suits a regular group willing to read dialogue, learn the combat and return to one long story.
