    About the game

You build a character with no class and start in a dungeon in a fantasy kingdom. A map of hexes takes you from place to place. You follow rumors, search ruins, fight through dungeons, then make camp to cook and repair your gear. Skills come from open trees, so two players can end up very different.

You can play alone or with up to three friends online. Friends can join or leave a campaign while it runs, and the group keeps one shared save, so the party can carry on when someone is missing. A preview reports that friendly fire is on, so a crowded fight in a tight room can get messy. Each campaign is meant to hold about ten hours of story.

It is not out yet. The makers aim for early access later this year, so these details describe the game as announced.

Backs Laughter and chaos, Fear, Tension and danger, Puzzles and figuring out, Time to hang out, Kind of game, Getting better.

      • Laughter and chaos: Hands-on of 2026-03-30 quotes a developer who likes full parties for the excitement and chaos that follows, and the writer's run had some shenanigans. Nothing says the group laughs through most of play, so chaos stays at 1.
      • Fear: Describes the first dungeon as a dank cave with skeletal remains and a gothic feel, which is moody rather than scary.
      • Tension and danger: A developer calls the game rustic and more lethal, about taking your time instead of becoming powerful fast.
      • Puzzles and figuring out: Mentions light puzzling, such as using a perception skill to find a hidden part of a dungeon.
      • Time to hang out: The writer says talking while exploring the first dungeon built a rapport in the group.
      • Kind of game: The first dungeon reads like a tabletop session, with a journal that feels like a game master reading it out.
      • Getting better: Says you have to work for it in the first dungeon, with hard-hitting melee, ranged and magic combat.

      • Tension and danger: A developer says rustic means gear breaks, food runs out and hope fades, and a character can die for good.
      • Time to hang out: Pitches a relaxed evening with friends, and the camp is a place to chat.
      • Unlocks and progress: Says there are levels and better gear, but the game is not about building the strongest hero.
      • Planning ahead: A developer says watching food and armor condition is part of play.
