About the game
You choose a Guardian class, collect guns and armor, and combine weapons with elemental abilities. You move between planets, story missions and repeatable activities, earning equipment for new builds. Some sessions are straightforward shooting, while dungeons and raids add encounter rules that your team has to learn.
Fireteam Ops support three players and raids support six. The Final Shape expansion includes Excision, a twelve player cooperative finale. Crossplay connects PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The free base includes several raids, the Prophecy dungeon and two older story campaigns. Other campaigns and activities require paid content, so check that everyone has access before choosing one.
