About the game
You and up to seven friends play marines sent into missions against swarms of alien bugs. You watch from above and fight your way toward each mission's goal. The aliens keep coming until you finish. You earn experience, and new levels unlock more weapons and gear for later missions.
There are four classes, and each has weapons that only it can use. One player heals, another hacks a terminal or welds a door, and the rest hold the line. Friendly fire is on, so careless shots and explosives hurt your own team.
It is free, with no microtransactions, and it runs on old hardware. The Steam Workshop adds many community campaigns and challenges. Missions run around half an hour, which suits a short evening with friends.
