About the game
Sven Co-op began in 1999 as a mod for Half-Life and is now a separate game on Steam. You and other players fight monsters through missions built for a team. The game ships with many maps, and the community has made thousands more. Most missions ask you to reach the end or finish an objective.
The weapons and monsters feel like Half-Life, but the difficulty is raised for a group. You share ammo, boost each other up to high ledges, and heal or revive teammates with a medkit. Some maps add puzzles that need everyone. You can join public servers or play with a few friends.
Public servers can be loud and messy, and newcomers may find the many features confusing. It is free, and it runs on Windows and Linux.
