About the game
My Time at Sandrock is mostly a single-player story game, and its co-op is a separate mode called Sandrock Online. In it, you and up to three friends run a shared workshop in a desert town. You gather materials, craft machines, take commissions and fight in dungeons. Points from these jobs raise your workshop level and unlock new buildings and characters.
The town runs on the maker's servers instead of one player's computer, and you can make a private town for friends only. Players on PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Switch can play together. There is no campaign story in this mode, just the building and unlocking loop.
It suits friends who like a slow shared project to chat through. If you want the story together, this mode does not have it.
