About the game
You pick one of eight classes and fight through the demon-ridden land of Sanctuary from an isometric view. Enemies drop items, runewords and sets, and you combine your skills and gear into a build. This version holds the remade game, its Lord of Destruction expansion and the newer Warlock class.
Up to eight players can share one online game. Each of you plays your own hero through the same acts and packs of demons. One person creates a game and the others join it from the friends list. A group clears areas faster, though you can also play alone. There is no local play, and the game needs an internet connection and a Battle.net account.
After the story, play turns into repeated boss runs and farming zones for better gear, and seasonal ladders give everyone a fresh start. It suits a group that likes to build characters over many evenings.
