About the game
You lead one of four fantasy races to war. On the campaign map you take turns to build cities, raise armies and march against rivals. When two armies meet, the game switches to a real-time battle with troops and monsters. In the Eye of the Vortex campaign each race is out to perform rituals that control a giant magical vortex.
Two players can play that campaign together online. You each take one of the two lords of the same race, so you start close to each other on the map. You run your own army and cities. In a battle you can hand some of your units to your friend, which helps when there are too many to manage alone.
It is a slow, thoughtful game. While the computer plays its turns you have time to talk. It suits two friends who like planning a conquest together.
