About the game
You lead a party of three heroes through a side story that runs beside the Lord of the Rings films. Farin is a dwarf who soaks up hits, Andriel is an elf who casts spells and heals, and Eradan is a ranger with a bow and a sword. Much of the time you fight crowds of orcs, trolls and wargs, then spend loot and skill points between battles.
Up to three players can team up online. Two can also share one split screen. When a hero has no player, the computer plays it. On the original Nintendo Switch only online play works, because local co-op is missing there. In single player you can swap between the three heroes at any time.
Reviews call it dated and repetitive, but several say it is more fun with friends. The first weeks brought co-op bugs, and a September patch fixed some of them.
