About the game
You play a dwarf sent to take back the old mine of Moria in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. Most of your time goes on digging for ore, crafting gear and fighting orcs and goblins in dark tunnels. Between trips you repair ruined halls and forges and build a base. When you make a world, you choose a Campaign with a guided story or a more open Sandbox.
Up to eight can play online when a PC player hosts. Xbox and PlayStation 5 hosts are limited to four. Crossplay works between PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Friends can split the chores, so some dig and fight while another cooks, and your dwarves sing mining songs together. Alone the game is harder.
It suits a group that likes a guided survival game with a story and a lot of crafting. The maker says active development has ended, but the game stays online.
