About the game
You crew a starship in a galaxy that is generated fresh for each voyage. Missions take you between sectors where factions, enemy ships, stations and planets wait. You fight other ships, beam down to a planet or station to look for loot, and sometimes board an enemy ship to capture it.
Each player takes one of five roles. The Captain picks the route and makes the calls, the Pilot flies, the Scientist scans and hacks, the Weapons Specialist runs the guns, and the Engineer keeps the power flowing and the ship repaired. Up to five can join online, and AI bots can fill empty seats. The ship only works well if everyone talks.
It plays like a bridge crew simulator with a main campaign to finish. It suits a group of friends who want a role each and will take time to learn their station.
