    About the game

You lead a small squad of odd fighters through a strange, wrecked world. The story follows a farmer, and you work through its quests and missions in turn-based battles on a hex map. Between fights you recruit captured enemies, pick up gear and level up your team.

Two people can play the story together, on one shared screen or online. Each of you moves your own fighters around the same map, then presses Ready. After that both squads carry out their orders on their own. You choose where everyone stands and what they carry, and the game chooses the attacks.

You can split up to handle different groups of enemies, or send both squads at one target. Most of the jokes come from the writing and the odd cast, not from things going wrong. A separate arena mode lets teams of two fight each other.

      • Kind of game: Review of 2018-04-11 says local and online co-op split the party so each player controls up to three units.
      • About: The review describes a farmer hero, a peaceful planet thrown into turmoil by a giant space bear and a band of recruited misfits.
      • Story: The review describes a plot and a bear who narrates your adventures and mocks you.
      • Tension and danger: Permadeath and an insane difficulty are optional, and the review advises against them on a first run.
      • Fighting: The review describes grid battles with nets and cages for capturing enemies.
      • Unlocks and progress: Wins give gold and gear, actions give XP, and you can level up in the middle of a fight.
      • Planning ahead: The review says you only direct where units go and the game handles targeting, which can feel too simple. Capturing the strongest enemy takes some planning.
      • Getting better: The review calls the approach simplified for a tactics game, so there is little skill to learn.

Backs Laughter and chaos, Story, Planning ahead, Getting better.

      • Laughter and chaos: Review of 2018-03-06 calls it ridiculous and over the top, with humour in front. The jokes come from the story, the references and the design.
      • Story: The review describes a farmer on a quest tied to a giant space bear, played for laughs.
      • Planning ahead: The review says you move a unit to a spot and the computer picks the action and target. Loadouts and objectives keep fights varied.
      • Getting better: The review found the automated combat a little too simple at first.
