About the game
Your plane has crashed on an island, and the only way off is up the mountain in the middle. Nearly all of the game is climbing, seen through your own eyes. A stamina bar drains as you climb, and hunger, injuries, poison and a heavy backpack drain it faster. On the way you find food and suitcases with ropes, spikes and bandages. The island changes every 24 hours.
Up to four play online, with crossplay between PC, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. There is no matchmaking, so it is for friends. You boost each other up ledges, pull up anyone who runs out of stamina, leave ropes for the ones behind you and revive the fallen. Players nearby hear your voice, so you shout for help a lot.
Things go wrong all the time, and that is most of the fun. It suits friend groups who would rather laugh over each other than plan a clean run.
