About the game
You captain a skyfaring crew that travels between floating islands. The story is a short campaign that you play alone. Fights happen in real time. Each character has their own weapon and moves, and you dodge, block and chain attacks against large bosses.
Co-op lives in the quests. Once the story has got going, a counter in town lets you start an online session for up to four players. Quests are boss fights, waves of enemies and other short jobs, and most last 10 to 20 minutes. You time your attacks so they link into team bursts, and you revive a friend who goes down.
After the story you come back for loot to upgrade your gear and unlock more characters. It suits a group that enjoys repeating hard fights and building up characters across many evenings. It is less of a fit if you want to play the story together.

Backs Fighting, Unlocks and progress, Working in sync, Tension and danger, Getting better, Planning ahead, Building and creating, Story.
- Fighting: Review from 2024-02-01 calls the boss fights the heart of the gameplay.
- Unlocks and progress: Describes characters levelled to 100, weapons enhanced to 150 and sigils levelled to 50, and lists the grind as a drawback.
- Working in sync: Says flawless teamwork makes quests more fun. A stunned boss allows a shared link attack and a downed ally must be revived quickly.
- Tension and danger: Bosses enter overdrive modes that punish rushing in, and a downed ally must be revived fast.
- Getting better: Says each character plays differently and is hard to master, and boss fights need precise dodges and prediction.
- Planning ahead: Says builds come from skill trees, weapons and sigils, and boss fights reward a plan over button mashing.
- Building and creating: Mentions craftable weapons that you enhance.
- Story: Says it is not a traditional story-rich RPG and the story mode exists as a device for the gameplay.

- Kind of game: Review from 2024-04-09 says playing quests with friends felt like how the content was meant to be experienced.
- Sessions: Says the quests gave another ten or twenty hours of action after the credits, built around boss fights and materials.
- Unlocks and progress: Says quests give experience and materials to upgrade characters, and almost all characters were unlocked after 30 hours.
- Tension and danger: Says the harder multiplayer tiers never felt like they got harder, so pressure stays moderate.
- Story: Says the story is short and not playable in co-op, so friends must finish their own story before the endgame.
