About the game
You control a potato stranded on an alien planet. Enemies crowd into a small arena while your weapons attack automatically, leaving you to dodge and collect materials. Between waves, you buy equipment and choose upgrades. Each character changes the strengths and weaknesses of your build, so another attempt can call for a different set of weapons.
Local co-op supports up to four on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and the Switch 2 edition. The original Switch version supports two. Co-op is part of the free base-game update, so you do not need Abyssal Terrors to play together. You fight through the same waves and can choose characters whose strengths work together. Shops give you a pause to compare plans before the next swarm arrives.
